Recently, pictures from the haldi ceremony of actors Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul were released. It was nothing less than a magical event. The couple exchanged vows at Athiya’s father Sunil Shetty’s Khandala home, and for their pre-wedding festivities, they turned a small part of the venue into a marigold paradise. In the pictures of his turmeric event that surfaced online, there is a fair of yellow color everywhere in the interior.
The decorations for Athiya and Rahul’s haldi ceremony included lush green trees adorned with bright yellow marigold flowers. Photos from the beautiful venue were shared online by design company Rani Pink. As per the photographs, the daylight celebration was held outside where one can see the stairs leading to the room with marigolds hanging from the ceiling. Marigolds are scattered throughout luxuriant vegetation, from shrubs to trees.
Another image provided a glimpse inside the room where wooden chairs were used to complete the color scheme. There were also two sofas in bright marigold colors for the bride and groom. “When I met Athiya, I knew instinctively that this wedding was going to be special. Our aesthetics matched perfectly, there was balance, honesty and trust. We knew how to create and create and feed off each other. Every layer of the decor was elaborate and I can’t tell you how much fun we had. Each day had a different story yet the foundation of our design remained the same. Haldi was a blooming marigold garden with layers from floor to ceiling. We explained every little corner in detail. It was intimate and beautiful. The sun was shining, marigolds were dancing and two families were celebrating love!
Athiya wore a golden peach-pink outfit for the Haldi ceremony. Rahul wore an ivory chikankari kurta. Athiya and Rahul posted pictures from the ceremony and captioned them with the word “sukh” (happy).
On Tuesday, Rahul and Athiya got married at Sunil’s house. Their wedding was a small gathering attended by only close family and friends. According to Suniel Shetty, the couple’s wedding reception is likely to be held in Mumbai after the IPL season.
