Union Minister Smriti Irani is soon going to make her debut as a writer. After years of hard work, the actor turned politician is able to complete her book titled Lal Salaam. And for the promotion of her book, Smriti took to the popular TV show The. chose to Kapil Sharma Show up, to make an appearance and to talk about her writing.
However, things did not go according to plan. According to reports, when the minister reached the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show in Mumbai, a private security guard stopped her from entering the venue. The reason was simple. Union ministers do not travel with any security and this may create confusion in the minds of the security guards.
And Smriti tried hard to convince the guard that she was going to be a guest on the show and also a union minister, they didn’t believe her.
He said that such big ministers do not travel alone. They are accompanied by security personnel and police force. It has been said in the reports that Smriti, who went to the show like a common man, was refused to go to the show due to this confusion.
Smriti had only an hour for The Kapil Sharma Show and after waiting for half an hour she left for the airport as she had to catch a flight to Delhi. The guard said that whoever wants to meet Kapil Sharma, he calls himself a big man. When Kapil Sharma came to know about this, he scolded the guard. However, he kept asking, “When do ministers travel without security?”
Later Kapil explained the whole matter to Smriti and apologized.
