The NFT craze reaches the Grammys: it will issue crypto assets celebrating music artists

NFT-mania has officially taken over the film and music industry. The craze for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), a digital asset that links ownership to unique physical or digital objects, is growing around the world. The Grammys were the latest to jump on the NXT bandwagon. The rewards body produced by the California, US-based Recording Academy announced that they have partnered with NFT platform OneOff for three years to facilitate NFT sales and purchases.

An official statement from the Recording Academy said, “NFTs will be issued as collectibles and experiences celebrating the Grammy Awards, nominees and recipients, with tokens designed by world-renowned crypto artists using the coveted Grammy Award… Are included.”

Digital collectibles will be inspired by award winners and nominees from across the music industry. These will mark the 64th, 65th and 66th editions of the NFT Awards.

The record body will announce the NFT collection celebrating the Grammy winners and the nominees will be unveiled in January 2022.
