Berhampur: The farmers of Ganjam district intensified their agitation for the purchase of paddy on Thursday. Many farmers staged a sit-in in Laxminarayanpur and blocked the road in Polsara by cutting trees.

Malaya Sahu, a farmer from Sumandal said, “The Beguniyapada block was the worst affected last month due to unseasonal rains. We demanded the government to buy our entire paddy.
