The Kerala Story Director Sudipto Sen Hospitalised; Promotion for Adah Sharma’s Film Postponed?

Released on 5th May, The Kerala Story has already crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office.

Since its theatrical premiere, Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s The Kerala Story has taken center stage. While the film is successfully making a mark in the hearts of the audience, it is also earning well and making a name for itself globally. Currently, the makers of The Kerala Story are traveling across the country, targeting 10 other cities including Jaipur, Varanasi, Patna, Bhopal, Indore and Ahmedabad. However, it is now reported that the film’s director Sudipto Sen has fallen ill due to the travel and hence, the promotional plans and city tour have been put on hold.

Sudipto Sen has been traveling continuously with the team to promote ‘The Kerala Story’ and he has fallen ill due to excessive travel. This is the reason why promotional plans and city visits are on hold. The Kerala Story is already a blockbuster success and will have a long run at the box office next month. The filmmaker has requested the audience to keep showering love on the film and appealed to people to watch it with the family. An insider claimed that the filmmaker will be back soon to continue the promotions and will touch 10 cities.

While The Kerala Story has crossed Rs 200 crore nett at the Indian box office, the film is reaching out to audiences across the country. The film, which released on 5 May, revolves around the stories of Hindu women from Kerala who were converted to Islam and trafficked to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Kerala Story is produced, developed and distributed by Sunshine Pictures, owned by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Adah Sharma leads the cast along with Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani. Kerala Story is bankrolled by Sunshine Pictures Pvt Ltd, founded by Vipul Amritlal Shah, who is the producer, creative director and co-writer of the film, co-produced by Ashin A Shah and directed by Sudipto Sen.
