The attitude of common people towards those wearing uniforms is changing a lot these days. There was a time when fear was created among the common people to maintain peace in the colonial system. But now it is changing. Now people are getting assurance of help from uniformed people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

Modi addressed the first convocation at the State Defense University in Gandhinagar. He is on a two-day visit to Gujarat. Road shows have been held in the vicinity of Modi. And there the prime minister expressed his attitude towards people in uniform. He also described how the police had provided humanitarian aid and distributed food and medicine during the peak days.

Modi said, ‘After independence, there was a dire need of change in the security system of the country. One needs to be very careful with those wearing the uniform, stay away from them, such an attitude was created then. But now this has changed. Now seeing the people in uniform, the common people are sure that they will definitely get their help.

He also said that there is a need to improve the police system through discussion and other skills. About the National Defense University, he said, “Never mistake it for a police university. It is a protected university. It includes the security of the entire nation.”
