The director of Mamanithan honors the biggest superstars of Tamil cinema

As the release date of Vijay Sethupathi starrer Mamanithan draws closer, the film’s director Seenu Ramasamy has paid his respects to some of Tamil cinema’s biggest superstars MG Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesh. He has also paid tribute to screenwriter M Karunanidhi.

Seenu Ramasamy visited their idols and offered flowers. The picture of his tour has surfaced on the internet.

The upcoming film marks Vijay Sethupathi and Seenu Ramasamy’s fourth project together. Expectations are high among the masses for the actor-director duo.

In Mamanithan, Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of an auto driver who will be seen dealing with a serious identity crisis. This family drama stars Gayatri Shankar in the lead role, who previously shared screen space with Vijay Sethupathi in the film Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom.

Apart from this, the film stars Guru Somasundaram, Shaji Chen, Jewel Mary and Anikha Surendran in important roles.

The music of the film is given by Ilaiyaraaja and his two sons Kartik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. And, this is the first time that the trio has jointly composed music for a film.

Whereas, keeping in mind the craze for Vijay Sethupathi’s films, the makers delayed the release and rescheduled the release a couple of times, thereafter, the release date was extended from May 20 to June 24. Furthermore, it is known that the Vijay Sethupathi starrer still clashes with some Tamil films on the same date.

The film is bankrolled by producer and actor RK Suresh under his home banner Studio 9.
