New Delhi: Shyamal Das Seven people were among those killed in an ambush by militants of the People’s Liberation Army and Manipur Naga People’s Front in Manipur on Saturday from Murshidabad in West Bengal.
Das worked as a driver for the Assam Rifles Col. Viplav Tripathi, his wife Suparna Said: “He called on Friday night to wish our daughter a happy birthday but she was asleep by then. That was his last call.” The family is now awaiting his body, which is likely to reach his native place on Monday.
