The makers of Dhanush-starrer Thiruchitrambalam have fixed the film’s release date for July 27, a day before Dhanush’s birthday. And now in another happy development, production company Sun Pictures revealed that the characters of Thiruchitrambalam will be introduced to the audience on Wednesday.
In the poster of Thiruchitambalam, Dhanush can be seen looking at an Ilaiyaraaja poster inside a dilapidated house. Dhanush fans are excited to know more about his character from the film.

Directed by Mithun Jawahar, the film will also feature Raashi Khanna, Prakash Raj, Nitya Menon, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Bharathiraja in pivotal roles. Renowned composer Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for Thiruchitrambalam.
The film’s title, Thiruchitambalam, was launched in August last year.
From the official poster, many are speculating that Dhanush will play the role of an Ilaiyaraaja fan. Thiruchitrambalam is a special film considering it is Dhanush and Mithun’s fourth collaboration. The other three films for which he collaborated were Yaradi Ni Mohini, Uthama Puthiran and Kutty. Of these three films, Uthama Puthiran and Kutty failed to do well at the box office. Yaradi Ni Mohini was a super hit.
Dhanush’s fans are pointing fingers at Thiruchitrambalam. Apart from Thiruchitambalam, Dhanush will also be seen in Sir, Naane Varuven and other films.
