The Batman Review: Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson Deliver One of the Best Batman Movies of All Time!

Bruce Wayne aka The Batman is probably the holy word when it comes to superheroes and the comic world. And Matt Reeves’ latest role in the iconic DC Comics superhero starring Robert Pattinson is among those that superhero movies will be talking about for years to come. Those who suspected Robert stepping into the shoes of Michael Keaton and Christian Bale certainly impress as the Dark Knight. While there may be a difference of opinion here, it doesn’t take long in the film to see Robert jump into the pantheon of all-time greats playing the famous Gotham City superhero!

In terms of story, screenplay and narration, this is the first Batman film that has been so accurate to the comic. It is one of the “grounded” Batman movies in the 80-year-old decade of the superhero series. Yes, that may again be a tall claim, but the direction, background score, cinematography, and Robert’s portrayal of Batman all make it a must watch and definitely going to be a fan favorite!

Coming to Robert, this is the film that will surely break his image as the famous vampire. Matt Reeves has changed the way we recognize Robert Pattinson and believe me, he will remember him as The Batman. They may not have the raucous voice of Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, or the latest out-of-this-world technology, yet Batman is a complete package and a must-have for anyone who reads comics. There is a cure.

There are only a few directors who could perhaps take up the challenge of stepping into a space defined by Christopher Nolan until recently. But Matt has taken things up a notch and it would be an understatement to say that he did a brainstorming job with this film. The famous Bat Mobile isn’t even close to the fancy car in Nolan’s movies, yet the way Matt reveals the roar of the vehicle will certainly give you goosebumps. The following car chase is another element in the film that will give all installments of Fast & Furious a run for their money.

Paul Dano, who plays the Riddler, will certainly be compared to the legendary Heath Ledger, one of the famous villains in The Batman series. He plays the manic character and complements Robert’s Batman. Likewise, Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and John Turturro have all been fully cast for their roles in the film.

In short, Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson have given DC and Batman fans a movie to remember. The Dark Knight has risen again!
