The Archies: Amitabh Bachchan congratulates grandson Agastya Nanda on his debut, says ‘keep waving the flag’

megastar Amitabh Bachchan On Monday, he said he is extremely proud as his grandson Agastya Nanda begins filming for Netflix’s live-action musical film “The Archies”, which marks his screen debut. Son of Shweta Bachchan Nanda and businessman Nikhil Nanda, Agastya is reportedly in the Zoya Akhtar directorial as the beloved comic book character Archie Andrews.

Taking to his Twitter, Big B shared a tweet by a fan, which had pictures of Agastya and the other two star kids, who are all set to make their debut with the film- Shahrukh Khandaughter of Suhana Khan and WednesdayThe younger daughter of Khushi Kapoor.

“Agastya.. a new chapter begins in your life and there cannot be greater happiness between all of us.. My blessings my love and my best wishes.. Do well.. and keep waving the flag!!!” The 79-year-old wrote.

Netflix has partnered with Archie Comics for the film, which will be set in 1960s India. “The Archies” is produced by Akhtar and his longtime collaborator Reema Kagti under their production house Tiger Baby. Though there is no official announcement from the makers, reports claim that Suhana will be seen playing the role of Veronica Lodge, while Khushi will be seen as Betty Cooper. Recently, Reema Kagti, who is co-producing the film with Zoya, shared the update on Instagram. She posted a picture of a clapboard. “Archie shooting begins, Tiger Baby’s first solo production #partnerincrime @zoieakhtar @Netflix,” she wrote. Farhan Akhtar re-shared the post on his Instagram story and sent best wishes to the team.
