Anil Kapoor and his son Harshvardhan Kapoor are all set to set the big screen on fire together once again. On Monday, the father-son duo released the trailer of their much-awaited film Thar.
The trailer features Anil Kapoor as a cop who is investigating a gruesome murder in a desert. During the investigation of this murder, he encounters Harshvardhan, who deals in antiques. This is followed by a series of mysteries, twists and turns. “Mysteries and mirages, twists and turns. In the middle of an unforgiving desert, a gritty thriller unlike any other unfolds,” reads the official synopsis of the trailer.
Sharing the trailer on his official Instagram account, Harshvardhan wrote, “Mysteries and mirages, twists and turns. Unveils a gritty thriller unlike any other, set in the middle of an unforgiving desert. #tharonenetflix.”
The trailer has got everyone excited for the film. “Just solid teaser sir!!! Excited to see this exciting concept, your performance sir,” wrote one fan. Another social media user commented, “Hard to wait till 6th May after watching the trailer. Great.”
Apart from Anil and Harshvardhan Kapoor, Thar also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Raj Singh Chowdhary and produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company (AKFC). Thar will release on Netflix on May 6.
Thar marks the second time of father-son duo Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor coming together. Both the actors had earlier worked together in AK Vs AK which released in 2020. “I love working with young and new talent and bringing young actors and filmmakers along with Thar gives me a completely different perspective on films,” said Anik Kapoor. Quoted by Hindustan Times as he talked about working with his son.
