Welfare: marketpeth police In Welfare An official of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation in Thane district has registered a case (KDMC) to offend Indian national flag.
KDMC is conducting Voter Re-examination Schedule from 1st November to 30th November.
During the program KDMC used artwork on National Flag at the main entrance of KDMC Headquarters in Kalyan for public awareness for re-examination of voters.
Learning about the same, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena)MNS) Leader Rupesh Bhoir had lodged a complaint at Bazarpeth police station alleging insult to the national flag.
Acting on Bhoir’s complaint, the police on Monday registered a case against the concerned officer of KDMC under Section 2 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honor Act of the IPC.
