Thane: 76 new cases were registered in Thane city on Saturday COVID-19 Taking the total number of cases to 1,39,294.
Among the new cases, maximum 28 people tested positive in Majiwada-Manpada ward, followed by 11 in Uthalsar.
Nine people tested positive in Lokmanya-Savarkar Nagar and Kalwa wards, eight in Vartak Nagar, five each in Naupada-Kopri and Wagle, while one person tested positive in Diva. No new case was found in Mumbra ward.
67 people were discharged during the day. So far 1,36,484 people have been cured.
Whereas, no new death was reported for the second day in the last 24 hours. The total death toll stands at 2,091.
However, the active cases have increased to 719.
The recovery rate is 97.98 percent, while the doubling rate is 1,592 days.
Meanwhile, over 25,000 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Saturday. So far 14,15,241 people have been vaccinated.
