He said the boy was reunited with his parents on Wednesday, three days after he left the house.
Sandesh More, assistant police inspector of Badlapur East police station, said, “The teenager had left the house on October 31 after informing his parents that he would be away for a year.”
He said that his parents lodged a complaint with the police and a kidnapping case was registered in this regard.

More said that his friends also told the police that the members of the chat group had decided to leave their home to do something in life to prove themselves.

“Police traced him to Goa’s Calangute and reunited with his family. He was on a visit to the neighboring state via Kolhapur,” the police officer said.
