Veteran actor Rajinikanth is all set to be seen in director Nelson Dilipkumar’s next Jailer. The team of Jailor is currently shooting for its last scene. The enticing Jailor poster, location pictures and exclusive teaser have all hinted that Rajinikanth’s film will be a straightforward action drama. Meanwhile, the megastar of the entertainment industry reached Mumbai on Sunday where he was greeted by paparazzi.
In a clip shared by popular paparazzo handle Viral Bhayani, Rajinikanth can be seen exiting the airport premises accompanied by security guards and assistants. The actor was dressed in a simple blue T-shirt and gray trousers. He also carried a sling bag along with it. Rajinikanth was also sporting a big smile as he waved for the camera. The Robot actor finally got into his car and left.
Fans were excited to see the megastar in tinsel town. One of them wrote, “Boss”. Another commented, “Thalaivaaa! Someone else said, “Thalaivaa is here (with fire emoji)”.
Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Jailer has got a release date in theatres. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, will hit the theaters on August 10. Sun Pictures shared the news on social media platforms sharing a video of the entire star cast.
As the video shared on Twitter opens, some of the biggest names from the entertainment industry including Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff and Tamannaah Bhatia can be seen in quick succession. At the end of the promo, you will get to see a glimpse of Rajinikanth. The video is currently viral and trending on Twitter.

Last year, the Jailer team teased fans by sharing a short clip of a behind-the-scenes look from the sets of the film with the crew working nearby. The video also shows a quick glimpse of the actor and ends with Rajinikanth in a sitting posture. Sun Pictures wrote, “Here’s a glimpse of superstar Rajinikanth from the sets of Jailor.”
In the film, Rajinikanth will be seen in the role of jailer Muthuvel Pandian, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen as the female lead. The film is expected to be an action-packed entertainer and will feature a star cast that includes Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal roles.
The director has also roped in Malayalam actor Mohanlal for an extended cameo in the film, who looks phenomenal in the promo. This would mark their first collaboration. Additionally, Vikram actor Jaffer Sadiq also has an important role in Jailer. It is backed by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
