Speaking to reporters after the match, Qinwen said, ‘Yes, the leg was hard too. It was easier on the stomach than… I can’t play my tennis, (my) stomach was hurting so much.” She continued, “It’s just girlie stuff, you know. The first day is always so hard and then I have to do sports and the first day is always in so much pain. And I couldn’t go against my nature. I wish I could be a man in court, but I can’t at the time… I really wish I could be (a) man (so) that I don’t have to suffer from it.
