Telegram on Monday launched a slew of new features to enhance the user chat experience and privacy. New tools include custom notification sound, custom mute duration, a new auto-delete menu in profiles, web integration for bot, reply to forward messages, better message translation on iOS and better picture-in-picture on Android.
With the latest update, users can turn any sound into a notification tone, be it a small audio file or a voice message. The company said, ‘They can also create custom alerts through any music or memes.
Sounds added to the notification sounds list can be assigned to any chat.
Tone currently supports audio files and voice messages up to 300 KB in size in less than 5 seconds. Telegram previously supported the feature to temporarily mute chats for 8 hours or 2 days.
“With the latest update, users can now mute notifications for a specific period of time, such as an afternoon nap or an extended vacation,” the company announced.
With the new auto-delete feature, users can now auto-delete any chat to make the conversation more confidential or less cluttered.

The latest update enables users to enable flexible timer settings – such as 2 days, 3 weeks, 4 months, and more – for auto-deleting of any chat.
In the latest update, Telegram has added an entirely new dimension to its existing bots, giving bot developers the tools to create infinitely flexible interfaces with JavaScript.
Telegram bots can now completely replace any website.

Telegram’s in-app translation feature for iOS devices has been expanded to support better quality translations from many more languages, such as Ukrainian.
