Telangana Police starts schools on the lines of corporate schools to provide education to children of migrant laborers working in brick kilns

In a bid to bring a new lease of life to the children of migrant laborers working in brick kilns and provide them education at par with corporate schools, Peddapalli Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Chow Rupesh inaugurated Dhruva School in Begumpet village of Ramagiri mandal in Peddapalli district. inaugurated. After taking over as Peddapalli DCP, IPS officer Ch Rupesh personally saw children of migrant laborers spending their time at brick kilns where their parents were working without receiving education. He came to know that most of the migrant laborers working at brick kilns are unable to send their children to school due to their poor economic condition. Parents are trying to be helpful to their children in their work.

The DCP along with ACP Sarangapani and CI Pradeep Kumar held several rounds of meeting with the migrant laborers as well as the owners of the brick kilns and assured them that the police would extend all cooperation in providing education to the children of the labourers.

DCP Rupesh in association with the brick kiln owners decided to start a school on the lines of corporate schools with all facilities including digital classes.

One fine morning, the DCP inaugurated a school named Dhruv and one of the mothers of the children of migrant laborers cut the ribbon to launch the operation of LED televisions in each class room in the school. The police personnel also distributed text books, note books and uniforms to the students of Dhruv School. The local people as well as the migrant laborers appreciated the DCP for providing free education to the poor children.
