Ever since Tejashwi Prakash emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 15, she has been riding high on success. Naagin 6 of the actress is one of the most popular shows. She made her Marathi debut last year with the film Man Kasturi Re. Later, it was also reported that Tejashwi Prakash had auditioned for Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2.
In a recent interview, Tejashwi was asked about the same when he shared a cryptic response and mentioned that ‘stage doesn’t matter’ to him as an actor. She further added that she ‘deserves a better role’ as she is not someone from a ‘different field’ who is trying to venture into acting.
“I am not going to name any film in particular. I’m not a person who is a reality star or a social media influencer trying to get into acting. I’m an actor. I’m an artist, and I’m going to do what I’m good at. So platform doesn’t matter to me. But I am going to take up things in future that allow me to do what is my job,” Tejashwi told Zoom TV.
“I shouldn’t be given anything less because I am not a person from a different field who is trying to get into this. I deserve a better role. I deserve a soulful role because that’s what I do as an artiste.” I feel like anything less than what allows me to perform is really beneath me.”
In the same interview, Tejashwi also talked about taking ‘permission’ from her boyfriend Karan Kundrra to film some scenes. “I also want to make it clear that it was always my choice, I never took permission. But I would be lying if I said I didn’t make decisions keeping her and my family in mind.”
Dream Girl was released in 2019. Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha played the lead roles in this film directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. It revolves around a man named Karamveer who gets a job in a call center because he can speak in a female voice. However, he soon gets into trouble.
