Masaba Gupta pens warm birthday wish for dad Vivian Richards
Masaba Gupta dropped a bundle of old pictures from her wedding and penned a warm birthday wish for her father and veteran cricketer Vivian Richards.
Birthdays are all about making your loved ones feel special. And Masaba Gupta left no stone unturned to make her father and veteran cricketer Vivian Richards feel special on his birthday as she received a heartfelt birthday wish from the ace designer. Sharing a bundle of pictures on his Instagram handle, he wrote, “Happy birthday dad. you did well. We did very well. And I can’t wait to show you everything I will do next without fear.”
In the first picture, the father-daughter duo was seen sharing a warm hug and spending a few moments together. In the second picture, Vivian is seen with his daughter and son-in-law Satyadeep Mishra. Vivian is the biological father of Masaba.
Actress Neena Gupta and the former West Indies cricketer had forced Masaba out of wedlock and they lived apart for the rest of their lives. Nina welcomed her daughter back in 1989 and raised her single-handedly. In 2008, Neena married Chartered Accountant Vivek Mehra.
In January 2023, Masaba tied the holy knot with Satyadeep Mishra. Viv Richards attended his daughter’s wedding and was part of all the festivities. “For the first time ever – my whole life came together. This is us. My beautiful blended family. Everything from here on is just a bonus,” Masaba shared on her Instagram handle along with pictures from their wedding.
Talking about Masaba and Satyadeep’s wedding, the lovebirds had a court marriage earlier this year. dupe met her on set Netflix Show Masaba Masaba. This is also the second marriage of both Masaba and Satyadeep. While Masaba was previously married to producer Madhu Mantena from 2015-2019, Satyadeep was married to Aditi Rao Hydari for several years before their divorce.
In an interview with Vogue, the fashion designer shared, “We had a simple court marriage. The idea was to keep it very small and with our immediate family in attendance. We wanted it to be very intimate because we felt it was the right thing to do and we won’t be celebrating in a big way going forward. However, there will be a party with close friends and family of around 80-85 people who have had a meaningful relationship with Satyadeep and me.”
