Noida: A 37-year-old software engineer Unknown vehicle crushed near Sector 92 Traffic intersection in Phase II area on Monday morning. His family members alleged that passersby did not bother to stop and help and by the time he was taken to the hospital half an hour later, it was too late.
The incident took place between 8.30 am and 8.45 am when Dipendra was on his way to the communication and electronics company in Sector 136, where he worked on his scooter TVS Jupiter. His brother Gyanendra said that the family got a call at around 9 am. police He told that Dipendra has been hit by some unknown vehicle and his condition is very serious.
“I immediately informed some of my relatives. When I called the number around 9.15 pm, a police officer picked up and said that he was still on the spot. My brother lay on the road for half an hour and no one helped him,” alleged Gyanendra.
He said his relatives who reached the spot were told by passersby that a bike might have hit the victim and he fled.
At the time of the incident, Dipendra was wearing a helmet and suffered an injury to the right side of his head when he fell off his scooter, resulting in his death within minutes of the accident, a police officer said. There was no damage to the scooter.
Gyanendra told TOI that in a video of the incident made by some viewers, his brother is seen lying in a pool of blood. “People made videos but no one took them to the hospital,” he alleged.
A senior police officer said the police did not have a four-wheeler and reached the spot on a bike.
They waited and took a lift from a mini truck and took Deepender to Yathar-th Hospital in Sector 110, where he was declared brought dead.
“Local police reached the spot from Sector 85 and Panchsheel police posts. These two outposts do not have four wheelers unlike SEZ, Gejha and Sector 110.
Phase II SHO Sujit Upadhyay said that the police took the victim to the hospital in 10 minutes.
“An FIR has been registered in the matter under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (death by negligence) of the IPC,” he said.

In another incident, a person died in the early hours of Monday after being hit by an unidentified vehicle while crossing the Yamuna Expressway near Chhapargarh village under Dankaur police station area. He was taken to a private hospital where he died during treatment.
Dankaur SHO Arvind Pathak said that the person could not be identified till Tuesday. “The police will wait for three days to come before the family after which the post-mortem will be conducted and the body will be cremated,” he said.
