Vadodara : technology teacher forum (TTF) Of MS University It is demanded that the appointment orders of all temporary teachers in the Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FTE) should be issued immediately.
According to the TTF, the university authorities had conducted interviews for temporary teachers as per the total workload, but when the appointment orders were to be issued the first year workload and postgraduate students were cut off. During a meeting chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, it was decided that the admissions of first year and post graduate students are yet to be held.
“Even though the academic year has begun, orders have been given to only 35% of the total 115 temporary teachers. TTF General Secretary Dr Arvind Mohite said that no order has been issued regarding temporary teachers in some departments.
The TTF has also demanded that the appointment orders be issued as per the new pay. “The university has decided to pay Rs 300 per lecture to those who have not received the appointment order. This is exploitation of temporary teachers,” said Mohite, adding that engineers who hold master’s and PhD degrees will get just Rs 100 a day which is very less.
“As managing committee Member, I demand that the appointment orders of all temporary teachers should be issued immediately from the beginning of the academic year with the new salary sanctioned by the Syndicate. The Rs 300 offer is absolutely rejected and should not be implemented at all,” said Dr Nikul Patel.
