Ranchi: Cyber ​​Peace Foundation, a Jharkhand based organization has joined hands with the National Commission Woman (NCW) to help people in distress due to cyberbullying, cyber stalking and financial frauds under the ‘We Think Digital’ programme.

To reach out to women in distress, the resource center has launched a WhatsApp helpline number (9570000066). “We resolve complaints by helping the victim, For example, in cases of stalking or fake profiles on Instagram, we immediately contact the service provider and ask them to remove such content. We work with tech companies to ensure that matters get resolved,” Kumar said.
“Most of the crimes are happening in cyberspace targeting women. We are also starting some assessments so that anyone who reports to us can connect with a counselor and then provide care and Cooperation to the victims. The resource center will have a lot of material on cyber security and online security. The final version of the site will be ready by January 31.
The program was launched as Digital Shakti in 2018 with an aim to raise awareness among women across the country on the digital front. Version 3 of the program was rolled out in Ladakh in March. On 9 December, NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma and Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais jointly launched an online resource center to ensure the safety of women in cyberspace in collaboration with Facebook and Cyber ​​Peace Foundation.
