TCS Work From Home Will End Soon? more than 20% of employees back in the office; Know what the CEO said

Tata Consultancy Services recently said that 20 per cent of its over 6 lakh employees are now working outside their designated offices, as the company seeks to return to normalcy, office work Module after the pandemic. With many employees working from the office, TCS Work From Home The regime is slowly being pushed out, even as the company plans to implement a structured hybrid work model by 2025.

TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan, in his address to the media after announcing the April-June quarter results on Friday, said that for the time being the company will further push the return to office to pre-pandemic levels or at least 80 per cent. , After this, the TCS 25/25 model will be implemented.

“The 25/25 plan needs to be implemented in a more controlled manner and so that route will involve first returning to a more normal working environment and then achieving a sustainable hybrid model. As we go forward, we will continue to increase this to our regular figure – 50-60-70-80 percent. We should see steady progress on this every month from now on,” said Gopinathan.

TCS had announced its 25/25 model in April 2020. Under this, the company envisions that by 2025, only 25 percent of its associates will be required to work outside facilities at any one time. Also, employees will not be required to spend more than 25 percent of their time at work. Within project teams, only 25 percent of employees can be co-located.

During the announcement of its FY22 Q4 results in April, Gopinathan had told reporters that TCS had asked its senior colleagues to come back to their deputation places. He had said that initially only these senior colleagues would start going to office three days a week starting April.

“We are starting with our senior colleagues, the top 50,000 employees, who will start coming to the office three days a week from this month. And then we’ll continue to increase the coverage of those affiliates that will start coming back. So, at some point in the middle of the year, we should be in a well somewhere on the way to 80:20,” Gopinathan told reporters earlier this year.

“We need to go back to a more general model of 80:20 or higher before we begin the migration from the 25 to 25 model and hopefully if we can change that to the trajectory we are currently seeing. will start accelerating. 80:20 model,” the CEO said at the time.

TCS has kept its promise as it has called back more of its employees in these few months. TCS work from home arrangement is no longer available for its nearly 1 lakh employees.

While TCS Work From Home for more employees is going to end soon, the company reported a shortfall of 19.7 per cent as against 17.4 per cent in Q4FY22.
