The SUV is also managing to become the second best selling model for Tata Motors. Prices for the Punch start at Rs 6 lakh and go up to Rs 9.52 lakh, ex-showroom.

The SUV is sold exclusively with a 1.2L, naturally-aspirated, 4-cylinder, petrol motor. It produces 86 PS of peak power output against 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine could be mated to a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. Also, it will soon be launched in CNG avatar, which will come with dual-cylinder technology. Simply put, two cylinders will be fitted in the spare wheel cavity. The Punch ICNG will retain much of its boot space. Also, the spare wheel will be placed under the body. Punch ICNG will make its way into the market soon after the launch of Altroz ICNG, which is likely to happen by next month
