Tata Motors has posted its highest every month sales in the month of July 2022 at 47,505 units, which helped the company record a year-on-year (YoY) growth in sales of 57%, as compared to the same month last year. Tata claims that its SUVs constitute to 64% of total sales, with a YoY growth of 105% over July 2021.
Tata’s SUV portfolio in India currently consists of Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and the flagship Safari. The ever-growing demand of SUVs has surely helped the company, with all its SUV offerings posting decent numbers on the sales chart each month. Moreover, Tata Motors has revealed that Punch recorded its highest monthly sales in July 2022 at 11,007 units, while the Tigor also recorded its highest ever monthly sales with 5,433 units sold.
July 2022 was truly a significant month for Tata Motors, since it also recorded its highest ever EV monthly sales of 4,022 units, as well as its highest ever CNG sales at 5,293 units. The carmaker’s EV portfolio consists of the Nexon EV and Tigor EV, while the CNG options include Tiago and Tigor iCNG.
The Tata Tiago is currently the most affordable car in the company’s portfolio, with prices starting from Rs 5.40 lakh, going up to Rs 7.82 lakh. On the other hand, the Safari is Tata’s flagship offering in India, and is currently priced from Rs 15.35 lakh to Rs 23.56 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
