Targeting China and Pakistan without naming: India gave a clear message to many allies; Rajnath Singh said – necessary military equipment will have to be made in the country itself

The Defense Minister also referred to the government’s decision not to import 209 military equipment to boost the domestic defense industry.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Saturday that India has clearly conveyed to the US, Russia, France and many of its allies that the necessary military equipment to deal with many security challenges will have to be manufactured in our country itself.

Without naming Pakistan, China, he said that God has given some neighbors to India who do not feel good seeing its growth and the partition which was born is becoming weak in concern for India’s development. In the FICCI conference, Rajnath said that we have given a message to every friendly country that less make in India, less make for India and less make for the world.

Military items will not be imported till about 1000
The Defense Minister also referred to the government’s decision not to import 209 military equipment to boost the domestic defense industry and indicated that the number of these items under the list could go up to around 1,000. India’s defense and aerospace manufacturing market currently stands at Rs 85,000 crore. I believe that in 2022 it will increase to one lakh crore.

Partnership with French company
He said that a leading French company will manufacture the engine in India with an Indian company under the strategic partnership model. This has been agreed after talks with French Defense Minister Florence Parly.
