Noted author and columnist Tarek Fatah passed away on Monday after a long battle with cancer. He was 73 years old. Fatah’s daughter Natasha Fatah informed about her father’s death.

“Lion of Punjab. Son of India. Lover of Canada. Speaker of truth. Fighter for justice. Voice of downtrodden, downtrodden and oppressed. @TarekFatah has passed the baton… His revolution will continue with all those who Knew and loved him. Will you come join us? 1949-2023,” tweeted Natasha.

The RSS condoled the death of Tariq Fatah on Monday and said that his significant contribution to the media as well as to the literary world will always be remembered.

In a condolence message posted on Twitter, RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said Fatah was a noted thinker, writer and commentator.

Dattatreya said, “His significant contribution to the world of media and literature will be greatly missed. He remained committed to his principles and beliefs throughout his life and was respected for his courage and conviction.”

“My thoughts are with his family, friends and fans, who will miss him immensely,” the RSS leader said. I express my deep condolences on his demise and pray for the ‘sadgati’ of the departed soul.
