Tamil Nadu man’s bike got stuck in concrete as new road was built: Watch

A video of a bike stuck in cement after road construction is going viral on the internet. Which came to the fore because construction workers in Tamil Nadu did not remove the parked bike while laying fresh cement for road construction and as a result, the cement acted as adhesive to fix the bike in its place. Notably, the incident took place on Kaliyaman Koil Street, near Gandhi Road, where the roads were being constructed by Vellore City Municipal Corporation as part of the Smart Cities Mission.

The bike involved in the incident is a Mahindra Centuro, which is owned by a local person named S Murugan. According to reports, Murugan used to park the bike in front of a shop at the same place every day. Further, the man claims that the workers did not inform him about the construction of roads and did not ask him to remove the bike from the construction site.

He claims that he parked the bike at 11 pm and was surprised to see it the next morning. It was a cement road, and the workers poured the cement without getting the motorcycle out of the way. Residents also claim that they have blocked the water discharge channel, causing rain water to flood the roads.

Later, the construction of the road was overseen by Vellore Corporation Commissioner Ashok Kumar, who helped Murugan get his Mahindra Centuro off the road. Further, he ordered the worker to refill to smooth out the gaps created by the bike on the road. As of now, it is not known whether any action has been taken against the contractor who got the work done at that place.
