Video of angry minister picking up something from the ground and throwing it at someone has gone viral

Controversy has erupted in Tamil Nadu after a DMK minister threw something in anger, apparently at a party worker, with the BJP’s state unit alleging that he “threw stones at people in frustration”.

There was no immediate response from the minister concerned, SM Nasar, who holds the milk and dairy development portfolio, or the ruling DMK on the issue. The video of the minister angrily picking up something from the ground and throwing it at someone has gone viral.

It is said that Nasar had gone to a venue here to see the arrangements for a party program and was apparently upset over something.

It was not clear whether he threw a stone or an earthen lump.

However, BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit president K Annamalai alleged that the minister threw stones at people.

“In the history of India, has any government minister seen throwing stones at people?” he asked in a tweet.

Annamalai uploaded the viral video on his micro-blogging page.

“In desperation people are throwing stones. No decency, no decorum and treating people like slaves! That is DMK for you,” he said.

AIADMK leader and former minister D Jayakumar also criticized the minister, saying, “This is the Dravidian model,” pointing to Chief Minister MK Stalin’s repeated statement on his model of governance.
