Tamil Nadu: Class 12 disabled students declared all passed

The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday exempted private candidates with disabilities from appearing in the 12th supplementary examinations to be held in August in view of the pandemic and declared them all-passes.

“The Chief Minister has ordered relaxation to private candidates seeking to write the examination in August in accordance with Section 17(i) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, which seeks to provide for amendments in the syllabus and examination system. Meeting the needs of students with disabilities. All of them have been declared all pass,” said an official press release.

The school education department will decide on the marks of private candidates, the release said. “However, those desirous of appearing in the examination may do so, but the marks obtained by them shall be considered final,” the release said.
