Coimbatore: Amidst the severe health crisis with COVID in many states, Tamil Nadu has proved its mettle in creating awareness about COVID-19 in unique ways. Anticipating a third wave to affect children, a month-long awareness campaign is being conducted in Coimbatore.
From Wednesday, a cake exhibition is being organized in Coimbatore aimed at creating awareness among not only adults but also children, as the third wave is expected to impact people under the age group of 18 years. According to ANI, the organizers claimed that they have followed all the COVID guidelines.

Vijayalakshmi said, “We have organized the exhibition with 40 varieties of cakes based on various themes. These theme based cakes include tributes to frontline workers about common COVID norms like washing hands and maintaining social distancing and most importantly vaccination. Bringing awareness is involved.” According to ANI, the organizer of the cake show.
He also said that this initiative was mainly done to create awareness among the children. “The exhibition will continue for 30 days with cakes of different themes, which can educate children about the importance of COVID norms at the same time,” he added.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday reported 1,791 Covid cases taking the active caseload in the state to 20,083.
