Tamil actor Suri on Suriya’s ‘Jai Bheem’ says film deserves award

Tamil film star Suriya’s new film ‘Jai Bheem’ started streaming on Amazon Prime Video on November 2. Written and directed by TJ Gyanvel, this courtroom drama has been receiving immense praise from fans, actors and critics alike. The story of the film revolves around the day-to-day life of the tribal communities and shows the struggle of a lawyer to get them justice. And now Tamil actor Soori has also praised the film after veteran actor Kamal Haasan and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.

Suri had seen Jai Bhim and praised the film for bringing the story of a marginalized community to the public domain. He further said that the film deserves awards and it will be a matter of pride if the film gets awards in the coming days.

Since its release on Amazon Prime Video, Jai Bheem has been garnering praise from all quarters.

Suriya, who plays the lead in Jai Bheem, said in a tweet that he is “overwhelmed” and “feeling blessed.”

Earlier, Kamal Haasan had lauded the film and said that after watching Jai Bheem, his eyes shed tears. He also wished all the best to the entire team of the film. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also lauded the film, saying it reminded him of his days in prison during the Emergency in 1976.

In the film, Surya is seen in the role of a lawyer named Chandru, who fights against all odds for the tribal communities. Apart from Suriya, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Rajisha Vijayan, Rao Ramesh and Lijomol Jose in lead roles in Jai Bheem.

The story of Jai Bheem’s film is inspired by real-life events based on the life of Justice Chandru, a popular advocate and retired judge of the Madras High Court. The film is streaming in multiple languages ​​on Amazon Prime Video from November 2.
