Judges have reportedly adjourned the case to September 12.
The lawyer representing the companies said that their client had stopped using the advertisement starring Tamannaah Bhatia.
The Madras High Court’s bench headed by Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy has reportedly ordered an interim ban on advertisements starring actress Tamannaah Bhatia to be used by two jewellery companies. As per reports, in a contempt of court case filed in the court, Tamannaah Bhatia has objected to the airing of the advertisements after the expiry of the contract period. The 34-year-old actress acted as a model for the advertisements of these 2 companies. When this case came up for trial, the lawyer representing the companies said that their client had stopped using the advertisement starring Tamannaah. According to the lawyer, their client used Tamannaah Bhatia’s old ads on social media like WhatsApp and Facebook. For that, the lawyer reportedly argued that the companies cannot be held responsible in any way. Similarly, when the appeal case against the company came up for hearing, none of the advocates appeared for the opposite petitioners. Thus, the judges have reportedly adjourned the case to September 12.
Meanwhile, a recent report revealed that producer Preeti Simoes would reunite with Tamannaah Bhatia for a project. It will reportedly feature Tamannaah in the lead role. “Aakhri Sach was a success for the makers, so they thought of recreating that. The casting of other cast members is still underway. They are talking to a popular actor to play the male lead. Once everything is locked, they would decide when to go on floors,” the report mentioned. According to the reports, this will mark the second collaboration between Preeti Simoes and Tamannaah Bhatia. They first teamed up on Aakhri Sach, which was based on the infamous Burari deaths.
As of now, Tamannaah Bhatia is working on another web series, Daring Partners. Created by Mithun Gangopadhyay and Nishant Nayak. The series features Tamannaah Bhatia, Jaaved Jaaferi, Diana Penty and Nakuul Mehta. With a narrative based on real events, Johar’s production house, Dharmatic Entertainment has produced this thriller.
Tamannaah Bhatia has several projects in the pipeline. She is all set to appear in Ashok Teja’s directorial Odela 2. She will also act in the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer film Bole Chudiyan.
