Taj Mahal Hotel Delhi Unveils ‘The Maharaja Suite’, Pays Homage To Air India: Watch Video

At the iconic Taj Mahal in Delhi, the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) showcased the Maharaja Suite. The suite’s design pays homage to the iconic Air India emblem and welcomes the national airline back to the Tata fold. Puneet Chatwal, Managing Director and CEO, IHCL, said, “The Taj, with its rich heritage spanning over a century, has always been renowned for pioneering innovative concepts. We are delighted to bring this exclusive experience of Maharaja Suites from Delhi Proud to introduce.As Air India flies to gateway cities around the world, Taj will partner them in their journey to offer the world-class Indian hospitality that it is known for.

A journey through time, The Maharajah Suite offers a uniquely themed master bedroom, dining room, an enclosed balcony lounge and a study paying tribute to the pioneer of Indian aviation. The Maharaja’s distinctive style, wit and warmth come to life in its custom-made furniture and artworks. The Maharaja’s distinctive mustache takes center stage in the aeroplane-style windows, lounge chair, luggage elements, and deep red upholstery in the doors and ceiling, and aviation aesthetics.

Designed by Bobby Mukherjee & Associates, the opening of The Maharaja Suites also marks the completion of the renovation of the marquee Taj Mahal, Delhi.
