Tahira Kashyap paid tribute to her father-in-law, Pandit P. Khurrana.
Tahira Kashyap expressed her love and admiration for her father-in-law Pandit P. Khurrana in her heartfelt eulogy.
Renowned astrologer Pandit P Khurrana, father of Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana, passed away on Friday, May 19. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Mohali. Reportedly, P Khurana was unwell for the last few days. Earlier this week, Ayushmann wrote a heart-wrenching eulogy for his father and now his wife and filmmaker Tahira Kashyap has also penned a heartfelt tribute for P. Khurrana.
On Thursday, Tahira shared an emotional montage reel on her Instagram handle, which featured throwback pictures and videos of the late astrologer. Along with the album full of memories, he wrote in his note,
“Father. A relationship from when I was in high school. I remember all my firsts. For the first time, Aapke Ghar Aayega had the entire film Family Picture. The first time I used my salary in college to gift you and Mama a painting that I got done by an artist to impress you. The times I struggled to call you papa and then it just didn’t settle. First time I heard you were totally cool about not changing your base after marriage. You respected my family, broke all conventions and allowed me to be happy. How many times do you see it.”
He said, “There have been many firsts. But the first thing I’m going to mention was probably the last. Just 2 days ago I was looking through your things and saw that you kept the magazine which had my cover. It was clicked years ago but you saved it and I never knew. My heart is broken for not being a hero around the boy I love the most. I haven’t met maybe never will meet anyone like you. I will never forget your laugh, we will miss you papa.”
Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana in his eulogy post, Ayushmann and his brother Aparshakti Khurrana were seen standing with their teary-eyed mother and a huge portrait of P. Khurrana in the background. In a separate picture, the Khurrana family was seen facing the picture and paying their respects to the departed soul.
The actor has written in the caption, “Maa ka khayal rakhna hai aur humesha saath rehna hai.” “Pita jaisa banne ke liye bahut duar jaana padta hai apne pita se.” For the first time I feel that my father is very dear and very dear to us. Thank you for your upbringing, love, sense of humor and the most beautiful memories. Hail Hail 🙏🏽❤️”.
Ayushmann Khurrana often shares pictures with his parents on social media. In an earlier post, the actor showered love on his father and referred to him as his ‘friend’. “We got it from him. Discipline. Love for music, poetry, films and art. He studied law but was always interested in astrology. That’s the reason for the double ns and double rs in my name. Also he taught us Also taught that we have the ability to make our own destiny and that our good deeds can outweigh any prophet. My friend, philosopher and guide. My father,” wrote the Doctor Ji actor.
