Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Raj Anadkat Leaving TMKOC Because of Munmun Dutta? Producer Reacts

Gossip mills are buzzing with rumors that Raj Anadkat, who plays Tapu Gada in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, may quit the show. While Raj has refrained from addressing the rumours, a new report claims that the two denied their alleged romance despite Munmun Dutta aka Babitaji leaving the show earlier.

She said, “The journey with Raj has been very sweet. Several times the team has tried to improvise with him but things are not working now. Neither is he ready to stick around for too long nor the cast and crew are asking him to stop,” a source was quoted as saying by Koimoi.com.

Raj Anakat replaced Bhavya Gandhi as the new Tappu in 2017. He earned a significant following playing the role of Dilip Joshi’s on-screen son. Bhavya played the role of Tapu for nine years.

Now the producer of ‘Taarak Mehta’ Asit Modi has reacted to these reports. She said that she had no idea about Raj’s exit from the show. “I don’t know,” he told BollywoodLife.com.

Earlier, Munmun Dutta had spoken out against trolls for slut-shaming her and age-shaming her for her alleged relationship with her TMKOC co-star Raj Anadkat. The actress lashed out at the trolls and a section of the media. She wrote that she is ashamed to call herself the daughter of India.

In his post for the general public, he wrote, “For the general public, I had much better expectations from you. But the mess you have done with even the so called ‘literate’ people in the comment section proves how regressive society we are. .

He continued, “Women are constantly age-shamed, slut-shamed, mom-shamed at the expense of your humour. Whether or not your humor drives someone to the edge of a mental breakdown is not your concern. Guys. And it didn’t take any of you 13 minutes to put aside my dignity. So the next time someone is medically depressed or motivated to take their own life, stop and think Was it your words that drove that person over the edge or not.” (sic)

TMKOC, which was launched in 2008, has seen several replacements over the years.
