International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 with the tournament starting from June onwards. The tournament is being co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America
The draws for the quadrennial tournament were already out on reports with India and Pakistan clubbed together in Group A, giving the fans a blockbuster clash in the event. India’s high octane will be played on 9th June in New York. India will be playing most of their games in USA. The group stages will be played from 1st to 18th June with the Super 8 scheduled from 19th to 24th June. The final showdown is set to be played on June 29 in Barbados.
Here are Team India’s fixtures for the T20 World Cup –
- India vs Ireland on June 5 (New York)
- India vs Pakistan on June 9 (New York)
- India vs USA on June 12 (New York)
- India vs Canada on June 15 (Florida)

- Group B- England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman
- Group C- New Zealand, Afghanistan, West Indies, Uganda, Papa New Guinea
- Group D- South Africa, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Nepal
Team India are without an ICC trophy for more than 10 years and will be looking to break the drought this time round. The closest they came last year was when they suffered a heartbreaking loss against Australia cricket team in the final.

Team Selection
With experienced players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s selection being discussed for the tournament, this might be the last time the duo could be seen in the shortest format of the game.
Youngsters like Rinku Singh, Ravi Bishnoi etc. are expected to make the cut in what will be a dynamic squad for the World Cup.
