Swara Bhaskar, who is in the news for outspoken statements, has filed a case against YouTuber Elvish Yadav. He has written an FIR at Vasant Kunj police station in Delhi. In the complaint, Swara has accused of damaging her reputation. Swara reached Patiala House Court on Monday to record her statement. Swara says that Elvish trended objectionable hashtags against her for a scene in one of her films, Veere Di Wedding.
A case has been registered in the FIR under Section-354D (stalking), Section-509 (Sexual Harassment by electronic means) of IPC and Section 67 (punishment for publishing obscene material in electronic form) of IT Act.

On October 1, Elvish posted a reply to Swara. In this, he had made a tweet on Swara’s behalf calling him a liar. It had a scene from the movie Veere Di Wedding. Its language was also objectionable.
Elvish had said that only Hindu temples in India have to pay tax, while the finance ministry clarified that there is no GST on temple trusts. However, Yadav hit back saying that he had referred to a scene from Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Swara Bhaskar’s Veere Di Wedding, not ‘GST’.
