Mumbai: “Sheer Korma” starring Shabana Azmi, Swara Bhaskar and Divya Dutta recently won the Best Short Film Audience Award at the 34th Connecticut LGBT Film Festival. The film’s director Faraz Arif Ansari gave this news by tweeting on Tuesday.
“We win! #SheerQorma wins Best Short Film, Audience Award at the 34th Connecticut LGBT Film Festival @OutFilmCT. Out of 83 short films competing from around the world, we got the highest audience score,” wrote Ansaru.

In a separate tweet, he said: “Many thanks to Shane Engstrom, Festival Co-Director, the entire team at #OutFilmCT, and all the viewers who voted for our film! If you’re reading this, our deepest gratitude please Accept – thank you!”
Swara retweeted the news from producer Marijke D’Souza’s tweet and wrote: Amazing! Congratulations to all of us! Congratulations to you and Faraz for making this film possible.”
