Sutapa Sikdar recently celebrated the birthday of her late husband Irrfan. The actor who left a huge void in the hearts of his fans is remembered for many reasons. Many fans of Irrfan have started following Sutapa on social media since his death to witness the heartwarming stories that are shared about their time with him.
Sutapa mentioned on Facebook on Tuesday that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Sutapa revealed this while expressing grief over the death of Irrfan’s aunt, who passed away recently in Mumbai. She wrote in her post, “When you hear it’s positive as you open your eyes I believed it would be a negative day. Mumani Saab!! She was one of those rare people I found smiling always. ..She left us today for the onward journey.”
Sutapa further said that, despite being in Mumbai, she could not say a final goodbye as her test came back positive. Her note read, “Irrfan adored her, the most straightforward clean girl I knew. Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi razi’un” Goodbye mumni saab, your calling me Shatoba will ring in my ears forever ..living in the same city I still can’t see her one last time as I used to be checked what try The chances are they are. Please pray for her she was definitely a transcendent soul!!”
Fans were quick to react to the picture posted, which included an unexpected picture of Irrfan with his aunt. A follower commented, “I don’t know who she is. But she must be someone dear to you and Irrfan. May she rest in peace and bliss. Take care of yourself and get well soon. Sutapa replied to this comment. Said, “Nadira, she was an aunt of Irrfan!”
Sutapa Sikdar recently shared on Facebook on his 55th birth anniversary that he and his friends sang some of Irrfan Khan’s “favourite songs” the night before his death.
For those unaware, Irrfan passed away on April 29 last year after a long battle with cancer. Millions of people were heartbroken by his untimely demise. Irrfan’s most recent film was Angrezi Medium, starring Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Deepak Dobriyal.
