“I have no idea or information about this development. I had a telephonic conversation with my daughter only on Friday morning. But she didn’t tell me anything about it. He also said that during his conversation with his daughter on Friday morning, only informal conversations took place in which Lalit Modi was not mentioned even once. Asked if she was aware of any growing relationship between her daughter and Lalit Modi, Sen said she had come home about 18 months ago to attend a family function and even then, He did not tell anyone in the family about this.
Asked specifically whether Lalit Modi as son-in-law is acceptable to him, he said the question would arise only after he was sure whether Lalit Modi was present in the matter or not. “If I had known, I would have told everything to the media as there is nothing to hide in this matter,” he said.
Sushmita Sen on Friday made it clear on Instagram that she is not married or engaged to Lalit Modi. Sharing a picture with his daughters Alyssa and Renee, he wrote, “I am in a happy place!!!
