Putting an end to the speculations, via a cryptic note on his Instagram, the actor shared that the two have split as the relationship got lengthy. The fans were heartbroken but no one knew the reason for their breakup. However, in her recent Instagram Live, it appeared that Sushmita was hinting that she chose respect over love.
On January 6, Sushmita hosted a live session on Instagram to interact with her fans and answer their questions. Replying to a question – what does respect mean to you, Sushmita said that she puts respect over love as it is everything to her. The actor said that when there is no respect, love takes a back seat, and it is temporary. According to him, any relationship that focuses only on love is temporary.
Sushmita said that love is something that is felt very intensely and comes out of it with equal intensity. However, where there is no respect, there is no point in love. “Love will come and go but if there is respect, love gets a second chance to express itself,” she said.
Sushmita went public with her break-up on 23 December. Posting a picture with Rohman, she said that the two started out as friends, and remained the same. “The relationship was long, the love lasts,” she said. Well, it appears that Sushmita and Rohman will continue to share a cordial bond, as the actor, after confirming the break-up, did not delete any pictures of Rohman from his Instagram.
