Suriya rubbishes his project rumours, director Bala shelved

Suriya is undoubtedly one of the most loved actors in the Tamil film industry with a huge fan following. Director Bala is another gem for a director who has carved a niche for himself with heart-touching films. Suriya rose to prominence as an actor thanks to Bala’s films Pitha Magan and Nanda. He also made a cameo in Avan Ivan and starred in Bala’s production Mayavi.

After a hiatus of almost a decade, the actor-director combo again announced Surya 41. Suriya and Bala fans revealed their partnership, and the shooting of the film began with a schedule shot in Kanyakumari. Kriti Shetty is there as the female lead.

However, shortly after the start of production, the film, which Suriya produced in his 2D . manufactured under Entertainment Banner, entered phase one of the production hiatus. Reports suggested creative differences between the actor and the director and many believed that the film was shelved altogether.

Suriya is said to have urged Bala to take a break and return to production, and as a result, the next Goa shoot of the film was cancelled.

However, amidst the buzz and rumors that Suriya 41 is no longer on the cards, the Jai Bheem actor has rubbished all such rumors and confirmed that the shoot will resume soon. The actor shared a picture of himself with director Bala from the sets of Suriya 41 and said that he is looking forward to being reunited on the sets.

His tweet proves that the production halt is just temporary and the actor and director will soon resume shooting for the film. Suriya was recently seen in the films Jai Bheem and Atharakkum Thunindhavan and will also be seen in a cameo in Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram. His other upcoming projects include Vetrimaaran’s Vaadivasal and a film with Siruthai Siva and TJ Gyanvel.
