Supreme Court dismisses plea for cancellation of NEET UG 2021 exam

NEET UG 2021 Exam: The Supreme Court of India on Monday dismissed a petition seeking cancellation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2021 due to alleged paper leaks and malpractices. The top court, while giving its verdict, said that lakhs of students have appeared in the NEET-UG exam 2021 and the court cannot harass them, so the NEET UG exam 2021 held on 12 September 2021 will not be cancelled.

A bench headed by Justices L Nageswara Rao and BR Gavai was hearing the petition today. The bench observed that the petitioners are “courageous” and the bench further observed that “instances of impersonation and paper leaks cannot be harmful to lakhs of students who are appearing in the examination.”

The Supreme Court dismissed the petition seeking cancellation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate Examination (NEET-UG) held on September 12, 2021, due to alleged paper leaks and malpractices,” ANI tweeted on Monday.

The result of NEET-UG 2021 is expected to be declared soon by the National Testing Agency. After the declaration of result, candidates who have appeared in NEET-UG 2021 exam will be able to check their result by visiting the official website neet.nta.nic.in.

Meanwhile, the agency had started The second phase of NEET-UG registration is on Friday, October 1, 2021. This year medical aspirants will have to fill the second set of applications for NEET UG. This has been done so that the data of medical candidates can be collected quickly. Candidates should note that the application window for NEET Phase 2 will remain open till October 10.
