Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Gujarat Titans IPL 2022 Highlights: Kane Williamson guides SRH to eight-wicket win

Chennai.

Hardik Pandya hit a crucial half-century but Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers with some disciplined bowling restricted Gujarat Titans to 162/7 in 20 overs. It was Hardik’s fifth IPL fifty but his slowest as he failed to change gears in the final overs. Meanwhile, T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar helped restrict the opposition under 170 by 2 wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to field against Gujarat Titans. Both the teams decided to remain unchanged for the high-octane clash as they do not want to make any changes to their winning combination. After a stellar start to the season, new franchise Gujarat Titans will take on the struggling Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have won just one match out of three. Hyderabad claimed their first win in their last match against Chennai Super Kings, but they have not been able to show their best cricket so far in the tournament. Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, are seen as the team for this season, starting the IPL’s journey with three consecutive wins.

The Hardik Pandya-led side have found multiple match winners within the group in just three matches, with Shubman Gill being the most impressive with back to back fifties in the last two matches. Whereas in the role of finisher, Rahul Teotia has become his X-factor.

Gujarat bowlers on the other hand are right on the money. Hardik’s four overs can change the color of the game while another fast bowler who can wreak havoc is Lockie Ferguson. Mohammed Shami has also been impressive with the new ball.

The other important team at his wheel is Rashid Khan, who is capable of running a riot and can challenge his former team SRH. For Sunrisers, after a failure in the first two games, skipper Kane Williamson has started and will be keen to score a big total against Gujarat.

SRH opener Abhishek Sharma reiterated the faith he had shown in him and scored a match-winning 75 last Saturday as the team chased down a difficult target of 155 runs in 17.4 overs. He would like to pick up where he left off. Rahul Tripathi’s role will be important for Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram as well.
