Sunny Deol turned one year old on Tuesday. Celebrities, their friends and family members came forward to wish the star on her 65th birthday. The actor has had a fair share of success Bollywood film industry. Deol, who is also a Lok Sabha MP, once shared why his wife Pooja Deol chose to stay away from limelight just like her mother Prakash Kaur.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle in 2013, the actor was asked why his wife and mother decided to stay away from all the limelight. Responding to this, Sunny said that it was her decision.
The actor clarified that neither his mother nor his wife was forced to stay away from the limelight. He also said that his wife Pooja is his personality and he always has the freedom to make his own decisions, whether he wishes to appear in public or not.
Sunny further said that neither his father (Dharmendra) nor he ever forced the women of the house to follow any rule. Be it his mother, wife or his sisters Ajita Deol and Vijeta Deol, he chose a different path for his life and decided to stay away from limelight.
Sunny will soon be back with father Dharmendra and brother Bobby Deol in the sequel to the family franchise film Apne. Sunny’s son Karan Deol will also be in an important role in the film. Earlier it was supposed to release on Diwali this year, but now it has been delayed.
The actor made his acting debut in 1983 with the film Betaab. In her acting career, Sunny has also done several hit films, including Border, Ghayal and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
