Actor Suniel Shetty has congratulated cricketer KL Rahul for scoring a Test century on the ongoing tour of England at Lord’s, India.

KL Rahul scored his sixth Test century on the first day of the second Test between England and India at Lord’s. It was his first century in Test matches since September 2018, when he scored 149 against England at The Oval. On the occasion, actor Suniel Shetty, father of KL Rahul’s alleged girlfriend Athiya Shetty, gave a shout out to the cricketer for achieving the big feat.
Suniel Shetty, who celebrated his birthday on Wednesday, shared a brief video of KL Rahul from the India vs England match on his Instagram account and thanked him for giving him the special gift. He wrote, “100 in the Mecca of cricket! Congratulations and God bless baba, @rahulkl. Ps: Thank you for my birthday gift!”
In his response, KL Rahul dropped a series of heart and hug emojis. On Suniel Shetty’s birthday, Athiya shared heartfelt wishes for her father, giving fans a glimpse of the beautiful relationship between the two. Athiya took to her Instagram handle to share a childhood picture with her father, along with a current picture with him. In the caption, he thanked his father ‘for the genes’.
Sunil’s son Ahan Shetty, who is all set to make his Bollywood debut with ‘Tadap’ opposite Tara Sutaria, also wished his father on the special day and posted several old pictures with him on Instagram stories. In one of the photos, Ahan wrote, “Happy 60th Birthday Papa.”
