The skiing paradise is well connected to most of the important cities and towns of Uttarakhand. You can take buses and taxis to Auli from Rishikesh, Pauri, Rudraprayag and Chamoli. Interstate buses are also available from ISBT Kashmere Gate in Delhi.
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, which is 286 kms from the hill station. Taxis are available from the airport to Auli. Rishikesh Railway Station is 264 km away from Auli and is the nearest to the hill station.

Auli is known as the Skiing Paradise of Garhwal. The first and foremost thing that you would like to experience is skiing in Auli. Slope is something you should never give up. No matter how skilled you are at skiing, the 5 kilometers of snow covered slopes are the perfect place to enjoy. There is a 500 m ski-lift system that connects Joshimath to Gerson, a little above Auli. It is also the longest cable car in India. - cable car

It is spread over a distance of about 4 km and provides the perfect view of the snow-capped Garhwal mountains.
